Our day care isn’t just about dog sitting, it is about helping your dog learn key life skills and manners with group sits, gate manners, well socialised free play and heaps of cuddles.  The day care teachers will provide you and your dog with a worry-free experience where they see to it that everything goes smoothly and that your pet has the best day ever!  Our aspiration is to deliver the same quality that a child care offers two-legged children and their parents.

All of our day care teachers are trained in dog body language and behaviour, animal first aid and CPR* and provide loving care to your fur-babies as if they were their own!  There is always a minimum of one experienced doggy day care teacher in the room. 

We aim for 20 dogs to a room to ensure the dogs are safely enjoying their playgroups  - comparatively many local daycares have up to 30-50 per room for the bulk of the day.

Not only do we offer a premium service for our puppy visitors, we build a support network for our pet parents to keep them involved in the experience.  Our team will communicate with you about your dog’s day and any concerns and work with you to come up with solutions including one-on-one sessions or other services.  Every decision we make is with your dog’s safety and happiness in mind.

Enrollment

If you are new to Paws & Relax,  we would love to have your pup come and play. So if your dog is:

  • Fully Vaccinated: (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus and Parainfluenza) and Canine Cough (Bordetella), or Titer Test
  • Appropriate Parasite Prevention: Appropriate parasite prevention (tick and worming treatment)
  • Desexed: Desexed if over 12 months old (case-by-case exceptions may be made)
  • Friendly with All Shapes and Sizes: It’s essential that your dog is comfortable and friendly with other dogs of various sizes and temperaments.

Our Daily Program

From 6:30am to 6:30pm, our dogs enjoy a full day of structured fun, social play, rest, enrichment, and care designed to keep tails wagging from drop off to pick up.

  • Check-in: Give us an update on your dog (and you) and any changes in their routine at home.  It’s amazing how some little incident can change their day.
  • Supervised free play: Interactive and fun enrichment toys and activities like ‘hide & seek’ to stimulate your dog’s problem-solving skills.
  • Room rotations: All dog groups get to experience our outdoor, training and nap rooms
  • Basic manners: gate manners, group sits or recall to assist in self-control, mental focus and reducing arousal levels during the arrivals and departures.
  • Nap / Quiet time: Its lights out and doggy relaxation music for a peaceful snooze in a crate, bed or teachers lap so your pooch doesn’t get over-stimulated.
  • Slower play: like ‘treasure hunts’, toys, free play with their puppy mates or extra cuddles for those a little slower to wake up.
  • Toys away: a quick brush and tidy up for those who have got a bit carried away during play time.  Don’t be surprised if they don’t want to leave.

  • Weekday Half day (max 6 hours) - $61 per dog
  • Weekday Full Day (up to 12 hours) - $80 per dog
  • Saturday Dull Day (up to 8 hours) - $86 per dog

Weekday Half Day Pre-Passes

  • Weekday 10 Half Day Pre-Pass - $595 per dog ($59.50 per day)
  • Weekday 20 Half Day Pre-Pass - $1190 per dog ($59.50 per day)

Weekday Full Day Pre-Passes

  • Weekday 5 Full Days Pre-Pass - $340 per dog ($68 per day)
  • Weekday 10 Full Day Pre-Pass - $664 per dog ($66.40 per day)
  • Weekday 20 Full Day Pre-Pass - $1288 per dog ($64.40 per day)

Saturday Full Day Pre-Passes

  • Saturday 10 Full Day Pre-Pass - $774 per dog ($77.40 per day)
  • Saturday 20 Full Day Pre-Pass - $1522 per dog ($76.10 per day)

Please note:

  • If you are a new client do not purchase passes in advance of your trial day.
  • Pre-Passes are only purchased online through our app.
  • Pre-Passes may only be used if purchase before or the same day of use. You will be charged single day rates if you arrive without a pre-pass.
  • Weekday passes may not be used for Saturdays.
  • There is no Saturday half day option.
  • Half days arrive any time after 6:30am and must pick up by 4pm.
