Explore a world of possibilities for your puppy with our specialised day-school designed for those puppies under 16 weeks of age. In our intimate, small classes, puppies engage with an array of sounds, objects, and scents in a positive and secure environment mirroring a ‘preschool day’ for human children. Crucially, this exposes puppies to diverse situations enhancing their behaviour and adaptability in adulthood.
The tailored daily routine includes playful interactions with fellow puppies, personalised sessions to acclimate to new situations, and essential nap time for your growing pup. With limited class sizes, we prioritize safety and ensure each puppy receives individual attention from our qualified trainers.
Effective socialisation during this critical period prevents fearfulness towards new experiences, fostering the development of a confident, well-behaved, and joyous companion.
While supervised play in day-care contributes to polite interactions, our Puppy Day-school goes beyond by introducing your puppy to the wider world. Recognizing the challenges of providing varied experiences, we offer a flexible rolling program, allowing your puppy to start at any point and progress at their own pace.
Embark on this enriching journey with us and set the stage for a thriving future for your new cute bundles!

This investment provides you with:
What does Puppy-Day School cost?
Pay by day: $160 a day ($800 total)
Pay in full up-front: $140 per day ($700 total)
What if I can’t make all of the days?
Unfortunately we need a financial commitment for all 5 days to participate. If you miss a day we will do our best to catch your dog up.
What time can I pick up and drop off?
The advised drop off time for the puppy day-school program is 8am – 3pm.
If you need to drop off early, or pick up later we can put your pup in general daycare for that time. A fee of $20 will be added in these cases. For the most successful class, and opportunity to talk to your Puppy-school teacher on pick up we recommend aiming for 3-4pm pick up.
What do I need to bring?
What should I expect at drop off?
Each week when you drop your dog off we will have a brief chat for you to let your training know anything specific you want to work on that day and update me on how your week was. At the end of each day we will chat again, and the trainer will be able to demonstrate what we have learned that day and give you your homework to practice with your pup at home that week. Where possible, Paws & Relax will follow up your session with an email that includes some visuals and extra information to assist you in your homework for that week. We are always happy for you to email at any point during the week for further assistance as needed.
Can my pup fail graduation?
No. At the end of the day all of our daycare puts get a certificate for completing the course and will take away the critical skills they have learned or started learning.
If your goal is for your dog to get ready for daycare at Paws & Relax, and we find your pup is struggling with socialisation, we would be able to indicate that at the end of the Puppy-Day School course.
Can my puppy do the 5 week course more than once?
Yes, if you would like your puppy to continue another round of puppy day-school this will be possible for most dogs and the course will be altered to suit in the second round.
What if my puppy is too old?
Have a chat with us, we may be able to provide options for daycare, or allow exceptions.
