Lend us a paw! P&R Working Bees
Hello to our fur-tastic P&R community!
Over the past few challenging weeks, it has been heart-warming seeing the P&R community coming together to support each other (not that you don’t all the time). Thank you to all our wonderful pet parents who have sent messages with Real Estate Agents contacts, pictures of ‘For Lease’ signs, and offers of help. This has been so encouraging to know you care and the reason we keep fighting.
Thanks to Louie H’s family contacts, we may have an interim facility to keep the business operating until something more permanent comes up. This hasn’t been signed off yet, but we are feeling quietly confident. With the help of Dean (Indie’s dad) and his team at Inbilt Projects, we are investigating the costs to set up a facility only 5 minutes inbound from our current location. It needs a lot of work, but with your help it could be amazing once services are reinstated and a clean-up. We are also working with a Town Planner for Economic Development Qld approval.
The owner of Eagleview has made it clear, he will not be providing us with an extension past 20th May and therefore we need to complete the ‘Make Good’ in the coming weeks to avoid any financial impacts. This means we need to remove all fixtures, fittings, signage, furniture etc; repair any damage and leave clean.
This move has put emotional and financial stress on P&R and as such, we will need to rely on the generosity of our community in these coming weeks to make sure we can efficiently move locations and continue our services.
To help us with this massive task, we will be hosting three ‘Working Bees’ to help close Eagleview and move to the new location and would love as much help as you can provide over the coming weeks. We’ll have some snacks and refreshments available, but most of all, we’ll have plenty of wagging tails, high fives, and smiles to go around! Although it’ll be a bit of hard yakka, we have no doubt these days will be filled with a lot of laughs and great chat.

If you can lend a paw, please email us at admin@pawsandrelax.com.au or contact Di on 0422-128-536 and let us know if you are coming along, what day(s) or time you will be stopping by, and what you’d be interested in helping with (if you have a specific preference e.g.: I have a trailer and can help with dump runs, you are a tradie who can help out).
We understand that not everyone will be able to lend a paw, but any help is greatly appreciated. If you can’t make it, don’t fret, there are still ways to help us out. We’d be grateful if you could share the news with your friends and family and help spread the word about our upcoming move. We are also considering some fundraising activities to help with these unexpected costs so please let us know if you have any cool ideas or could help out.
Thank you for being a part of our Paws & Relax family. We can’t wait to continue providing a safe and happy environment for your furry friends in our new location and look forward to letting you know more about the new facility and its location in the coming days.
Paws & love,
Di, Charlee & the P&R Team
